Elena Crawford is tired of being judged by her "vanilla" girlfriends, so is starting Sexy Girls Night Out in the Big Easy, and hoping to expand it to other cities soon. Sexy Girls night out is a ladies only event (with the exception of invited hunks) where ladies can feel free to be wild, dance, flirt, drink and explore their wild side without having to worry about the what other people think. We asked Elena why she started this party. She replied, "My husband and I have an open honest, marriage and I love hanging out with my girlfriends, but when I start feeling a little wild, I always hear "You don’t really want to do that, with him do you?", which makes me feel that I am being judged. I decided that I wanted to do a night out with some other ladies that not only don't hold each other back, but encourage a little freaky behavior! The other reason is, that I am tired of the double standard between men and women. Guys night out? How many times have we heard that? They are not going to watch the game, they are going out to drool at the cocktail waitresses, or throw away a couple of hundred dollars at the local strip club after work! Don’t misunderstand, I have no problem with my husband going out to party with his friends. What I am tired of is people thinking that’s ok, but if I want to get a little wild and flirt with the bar tender it’s a big story. Women are just as sexual as men! I am lucky enough to be in a business where I don’t have to worry about what people think about me professionally, and have a husband and encourages me to explore my sexuality, but what if I was a lawyer, doctor, or an elementary school teacher. What would my peers think, and what kind of issue would it cause me at my work place? What if my husband wanted to go out and flirt, but insisted I stay at home with the kids? That is why I decided to start this month get together. I want to let all the ladies know that it is ok for women to show their sexuality, and if people do not like it, it's their problem."
Sexy Girls Night out may not be for everyone, and many husbands may not be as understanding as Elena's, but for some it may be a great way to blow off some steam and have fun once and a while.
